Centre for Management and Labour Research (CMLR), is the latest venture of Grama Niketan. CMLR materializes the growing understanding among scholars about the emerging needs of research/ organization working on the precarious situation faced by workers from unorganized sector. CMLR emanates from the visions of our founding fathers for a sustaining model that would ultimately dictate a solution to this quandary. On one hand CMLR tries to attach some features of organized sector, while on the other it (CMLR) tries to attach quality of life as a belonging to the masses. CMLR is expected to be a premier organization that will target the people in the unorganized sector in Kerala.

CMLR dedicates itself to creation of values in training and education to promote inclusive growth, harmony, and sustainability in all segments of workforces and social partners of production and services in organized, rural and unorganized sectors for igniting the minds of learners in their fields of accomplishment.

To build the competence of the trade unions through enlightened members and instill sensitive and responsible internal leadership and to ensure that workers education becomes a cardinal feature of trade union functions.
To strengthen the workforce in rural, organized and unorganized sectors by imparting knowledge, information, skill, tools, techniques and support to form co-operative societies, self-help groups and other forms of self-employment and livelihood promotions.

Shreyas micro finance is an initiative of gramaniketan to provide collateral free loans to the needy sections of the society. With this project we desire to uplift the downtrodden sections of the society. Being an NGO we have a plan to save the poor from the clutches of money lenders.
